BLS 95 Conception
To combine maximum item throughput,
total modularity and safe item transport with a minimum
space requirement, was the initial target.
With the WALTHER BLS 95 Reader-Sorter-System
the squaring of this circle has succeeded for the first
time. The compact table-top device can be equipped with
an OCR-reader as well as with a MICR-reader, with the
result that OCR-A/B (including OCR full-alpha), E13B
(MICR or OCR) and/or CMC-7 encoded items can be read
and sorted combined in one system.
At a transport speed of 1 m/sec, the
BLS 95 reads up to 15.000 items DIN A6/h, (250
6" items/ min.). Equipment options are programmable
ink-jet line endorsers and canceling stamps.

Motorized sorter modules and sorter
pockets do guarantee that in spite of the high throughput
items are securely transported and deposited into the
pockets. Extending the number of sorter pockets to 60
(= 10 modules) will not reduce the throughput of approx.
15.000 items per hour.
